The on-going war in Syria has become the hot topic in the Middle East, as well as for the United Nations. Both regional and international actors showed their own political perspective, from the beginning. This paper scrutinizes how the aforementioned responses interacted and how the actors are politically positioned. By revisiting the responses of the main actors, it aims to portray the whole case. In elaborating the responses, special emphasis is given to Turkish approach which is of significant importance. As the case has a sui generis complexity, the local, regional and international dimension of the problem is analysed to clarify the picture. The paper indicates that the response of the international community underwent a change which is paradoxically both the reason and the result.
