The special section on daily life satisfaction in Asia: country analyses of Japan, China, Thailand, and Pakistan is a sequel to "Daily Life Satisfaction in Asia: A Cross National Survey in Twelve Societies" (Inoguchi et al., 2014) published in this journal. This survey is important in terms of focus and interesting in terms of cross-national survey methodology. Its focus is on people's satisfaction with daily life aspects. Given Asian economies' dynamism, people's perception of daily life aspects carries heavy weight when one assesses the prospect for Asia. Its methodology attracts attention.
