The development objective of Innovations in Solar Power and Hybrid Technologies Project is to demonstrate large-scale innovative renewable energy technologies in India. Some of the negative impacts include: (i) loss of private agricultural, home-stead and commercial land; (ii) restrictive use of Land; (iii) loss of private structures (residential/commercial); (iv) loss of trees and crops; (v) loss of residential/ commercial structures to non-titled holders; (vi) loss of livelihood; (vii) loss of community infrastructure/common property resources; and (viii) govt. land on lease / assigned land. Some of the mitigation measures include: (i) compensation at market value, resettlement and rehabilitation; (ii) the valuation of land will be done as per the existing circle rate of land; (iii) cash compensation for the structure at market value which would be determined as per as per section 29 of the RFCTLARR Act 2013; (iv) three months advance notice to project affected persons to harvest fruits, standing crops and removal of trees; (v) in case only part of the structure is demolished, and rest of the structure becomes unsafe or economically unviable, project to compensate for the entire structure; (vi) subsistence allowance of Rs. 36,000 as one-time grant; (vii) reconstruction of community structure and common property resources in consultation with the community; and (viii) cash compensation as per the circle rate.
