The Book of J. Mearsheimer and St. Walt The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy (Israel Lobby) can be assessed as a positive attempt because of its dare to discuss a sensitive theme such as American Jews. Because the relationship between Jews and America can be spoken usually only in the narrow circle of anti-Semites and Islamic world, and because therefore the issue needs more courage and thoroughness, the book earns readily applause. However, the big attention to the book implies that the old pseudo theory of Jewish Conspiracy is still alive. But the Israel lobby is not a racist incitement scripture, but a scientific work which is based on a theory of international politics Offensive Realism. Both authors of the book are worldwide well-known theorists in that field. They argue that the Idealism, the antithesis of Realism, and its follower group the Israel Lobby in Washington have influenced almost monopoly on the U. S. Foreign Policy. The negative result of the policy finds its climax, so the Israel Lobby, in the 9.11 terror expressly. So, the book aims above all to the criticism of idealistic foreign policy of the United States. In that sense it is not a traditional classical anti-Semitic writings. But in his way of thinking, in which almost all responsibilities of the crisis are shifted onto Jews, one can assume an anti-Semitic suspicion. In this book there is a general discussion of that.
