Recently most of researches on ethnic minorities integrated into host society are through looking at trends of intermarriage. Milton Gordon(1964) distinguished between cultural assimilation, adopting language, religion, dress and value of society, structural assimilation, becoming integrated into social institution and marital assimilation, widespread intermarriage with members of majority. Among these assimilations, marital assimilation is regarded as the most important and useful indicator of the degree of acculturation. This article goes on to research the diverse acculturation models of the south asian muslim immigrants in Korea. especially it focus on intermarriage of the south asian male muslim immigrant workers and korean women by approaching their changing cultural practice in Korea from a acculturative point of view. Consequently this article aims to explore the possibility of their cultural identity changes through their intermarriages for their co-existence in Korean society.
