Inside the southern Amazon region is situated the county of Sinop-MT, as well as the whole region in general, it had its development based on the exploration of primary resources, such as wood and agriculture. This pattern of economic activity brought over time, major environmental impacts mainly in its vegetation. Thus, the object of this study is to analyze the temporal dynamics of climate variables for urban area of Sinop, MT. The analysis suggested that over the years and consequently with the advance of deforestation caused by the profile of the local economy, some variables such as rainfall, humidity and temperature were changed in its magnitude, this shows that there is a correlation between the decrease in forest areas both rural and urban, with changes in the local climate.
