 WHEREAS the Council for Trade in Services, on 18 April 2000, took a Decision (document S/L/83 ) adopting Procedures for the Certification of Rectifications or Improvements to Schedules of Specific Commitments (document S/L/84 );

 WHEREAS in accordance with the provisions of the above-mentioned Procedures, a draft containing improvements to Brazil's Schedule of Specific Commitments (document GATS/SC/13 , as previously modified by document GATS/SC/13/Suppl.3 ), was communicated to Members of the World Trade Organization in document S/C/W/367 on 8 April 2016¹ , and no objections to the proposed improvements were received within 45 days from the date of issue of the aforementioned document;

WHEREAS in accordance with above-mentioned Procedures, on 27 May 2016 the Secretariat issued a communication to all Members to the effect that the certification procedure concerning the above-mentioned improvements was concluded (document S/L/412 );

 IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the annexed improvements replacing the Financial Services section contained in pages 15-20 of Brazil's Schedule of Specific Commitments (document GATS/SC/13 , as previously modified by document GATS/SC/13/Suppl.3 ) are established in conformity with the above-mentioned Procedures and constitute an integral part of Brazil's Schedule of Specific Commitments as of 23 May 2016.²

 I hereby furnish a certified true copy of the above-mentioned improvements to each Member of the World Trade Organization. This certification shall be registered in accordance with the provisions of Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations.
