The country operations business plan (COBP), 2020–2022 updates the COBP, 2019–2021, in alignment with the government’s Seventh Five-Year Plan and with Strategy 2030 of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
 
It also aligns with the government’s new manifesto, which highlights its priorities and sets the stage for the next 5-year plan. The 2020–2022 lending program marks the transition to a period beyond the current country partnership strategy, 2016–2020, but continues to focus on its five priority investment areas in support of the government’s agenda: (i) easing infrastructure constraints, (ii) improving human capital, (iii) promoting economic corridor development, (iv) improving rural livelihoods, and (v) providing climate- and disaster-resilient infrastructure and services.
