The Asian Development Bank (ADB) country operations business plan (COBP), 2020–2022 for Afghanistan is in line with the strategic focus of the country partnership strategy (CPS), 2017–2021.
 
The priorities under ADB’s CPS, 2017–2021 remain valid for this COBP. The projects in the COBP correspond to the CPS’ strategic pillars: (i) expanded access to economic opportunities, markets, and services for women and men; (ii) stronger institutions and human capacities; and (iii) increased environmental sustainability, climate change resilience, and disaster resilience.
