This project is the second tranche of the multitranche financing facility that aimed to support the Prime Minister's Rural Roads Program (PMGSY) by the Government of India to improve rural road infrastructure. The project's envisaged impact was improved connectivity to markets, district headquarters, and to other centers of socioeconomic activity for the selected rural communities in the five participating states. Its intended outcome was improved accessibility of these selected communities in the participating states.
