This project paper seeks approval of the Country Director to process an extension of the closing date of the multidonor trust fund (MDTF, TF0A6941) co-financing the Health Sector Support Project (HSSP). HSSP is co-financed by IDA (Cr. 6127-BD, Cr. 6302-BD, Grant D361-BD), Global Financing Facility (GFF, TF0A4355) grant, and MDTF(TF0A6941) grant. The closing dates of the IDA credits and grant have been extended till December 31, 2023 and the GFF grant till September 20, 2023 through a project restructuring approved in December 2021. The MDTF grant could not be extended during the restructuring of December 2021 as the amendment of the administration agreements between IDA and the five contributing partners were being processed at the time. With the administration agreements now amended with the five partners, the closing date of the MDTF is being extended till December 31, 2023. This restructuring is being processed based on a request sent by the Economic Relations Division of the Government of Bangladesh dated November 15, 2021.
