This Croatian Public Finance Review 2021 (PFR) considers two broad fiscal challenges faced by the policymakers. First, it analyses how to achieve fast and strong recovery from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis while correcting at the same time fiscal imbalances that arose during the crisis. Second, it raises the issue of efficiency and performance of public spending and dives deep into two specific areas.
