[정책] Countering Violent Extremism through Social Cohesion and Community Resilience Approach PB-96

Pakistan has been under persistent extremism since decades because of the radicalization of the society. It poses a great threat to the national security. This study embarks on a vibrant exploration of the reciprocal relationship between social cohesion, community resilience, and the countering and prevention of violent extremism (C/PVE). It illustrates a multilayered narrative, immersing in international and national frameworks, radiating insights from Indonesia, the UK, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. It further contends that social cohesion, an amalgam of unity, mutual respect, and cultural diversity, is an antidote to extremist narratives. Through a composite analysis — interweaving literature review, personal observations, and a kaleidoscope of VE perspectives — the study refracts policy recommendations. There is a need to focus on educational reforms, inclusive economic policies, civic engagement, interfaith dialogue, and digital resilience.
