[지역개발] India: Bihar Power System Improvement Project

The project was ADB’s first loan for Bihar’s power sector that followed the development of the state’s power system master plan, which was supported by an earlier ADB-funded advisory TA. Its scope was expanded to review and revise, as needed, the design of the project. The physical infrastructure under the project comprised the implementation of priority transmission lines, new and expanded grid substation (GSS), and reconstruction and modernization of distribution networks that were geographically located in seven towns: Ara and Buxar (Bhojpur circle), Bihar Shariff (Nalanda circle), Motihari and Bettiah (Motihari circle), and Samastipur and Begusarai (Samastipur circle). The indicated outcome was improved and expanded transmission and distribution capacity, increased transmission and distribution efficiency, and enhanced quality and reliability of electricity service in Bihar.
This report validates the completion report's assessment of the project. IED overall assessment: Successful.
