[지역개발] India: Second Jharkhand State Road Project

The project was to rehabilitate and improve about 176 km of state roads in the Jharkhand state to a two-lane standard. The improved transport connectivity and mobility of the project area, characterized by reduced vehicle operating costs and travel time on the project road, was expected to contribute to the expansion of economic opportunities and poverty reduction in the project area. The project was also designed to (i) strengthen the institutional capacity of the executing agency, (ii) improve its performance in core functions, and (iii) provide assistance during project preparation and implementation to address issues of safeguard compliance.
