The COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine slowed the country's high economic growth that had been sustained over the past decade. To rally growth, ADB is supporting government efforts on strengthening public financial management and the social protection system. ADB continues to support Bangladesh with capacity development and reform measures for improving project implementation. In 2023, the bank will support the country's sustainable and resilient recovery, with a sharpened focus on climate change, food security, rural development, among others.
