The main results of studies, completed by the authors in 2019-2022 at the sites of industrial facilities in Kyrgyzstan, which are potential sources of pollution of transboundary rivers flowing into the territory of Kazakhstan, are briefly presented. The influence of each of the studied objects on the quality of surface waters in the territory of their location is shown. It has been established that the bottom sediments of the Kichi-Kemin River contain the remains of waste from the tailing-pool of the mine "Aktyuz" after the environmental disaster occurred in 1964. The ore body of the deposit "Kamyshanovskoe" has a direct impact on the level of U, B, Li, Sr, Cr, Ni, Mg, Ca in the water of the Shu River flowing through this area. Some water objects, located around the tailing pools of the mining plant "Kara-Balta", contain a large amount of Mo, which can get there with groundwater from the non-tight bottom of the sump.
