The act of supervision is an evaluation process for teachers as well as for schools. It provides professional guidance and assists teachers to improve their teaching skills, and schools to accelerate quality education. With the process of supervision, teachers and schools can identify their strengths and areas for improvements. Supervision, in addition, gives an opportunity to engage in professional dialogue and develop positive attitudes. The Educational Supervision and Quality Improvement Division (ESQID), the Ministry of Education is responsible for improving the quality of teaching/learning in all the schools by the teams of internal and external supervisors. They are mobilized to implement quality supervision programs by monitoring and evaluating schools. For the purpose of this study, we have reviewed New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia supervision programs, and Korea, as a case study. Korean schools and related personnel use NEIS to share various database and information, however, there is no separate category for supervision. As a result of this study, we have developed supervision strategies for three different sectors: the central government, province, and schools. The duration of supervision varies by the level of offices: the central government every four years, each province could be flexible, and the schools once a year.
