[교육] Policy Analysis of Technical Education and Vocational Training(TEVT) in Nepal

The development of technical education and vocational training needs support and guidance of national policy. In Nepal policy makers have to make hard choices because of limited resources. There are some critical issues, the solutions for which lie less in resource allocation, and more with a change in policy and mindset. The purpose of this article is to discuss current issues and future policy strategies associated with the role of technical education and vocational training governance of Nepal using the conceptual framework of educational policy making by Cooper, Fusarelli, and Randall. The paper is concluded based on the information of the literature and authors’ individual experiences at CTEVT and observation regarding TEVT system of Nepal. In conclusion, on the basis of all logical analyses, the present technical education and vocational training system in Nepal should be redirected so that it liberates the peoples from illusions to become positive force and energy for self development and development of others.
