[경제] Moving Up the Value Chain in Dairy, Fishery, and Floriculture : Opportunities for Women-Driven Enterprises in Southwestern Bangladesh

Dairy, fisheries, and floriculture have high potential to help women enterprises in southwestern Bangladesh rise in the value chain. The World Bank examined the production, transformation, and commercialization steps of the three products. A spatial value chain assessment identified opportunities by searching for patterns using the distribution of production, travel times to processing centers, and travel times to markets and ports. The study found women have been at the bottom of the three value chains, in part, because they have limited mobility as primary caregivers in households. The brief recommends ways to integrate women-driven SMEs in the three product value chains.
