The Government of Nepal is preparing the Phase 1 of the Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) Multiphase Programmatic Approach (MPA) Regional Transport and Trade Facilitation Program -herein referred to as BBIN Nepal Phase 1 (the Project) for World Bank financing. The main objective of the Project is to support the more cost-efficient and resilient movement of goods and people within and across the borders of Nepal along the East-West Highway on the western side – which is key to access India’s western seaports and thus for economic growth.
