The proposed project location is the province of Punjab, Pakistan. The project’s interventions such as watercourse lining/improvements, and introduction of high efficiency irrigation systems (drip /sprinkler) shall be implemented largely in rural settings in areas already transformed/under cultivation. The project’s main beneficiaries are rural communities, including growth-oriented smallholder farmers and their groups; and will directly benefit over 5 million acres of irrigated area.
