The development objective of the Urban Health, Nutrition, and Population (HNP) Project for Bangladesh is to improve delivery of comprehensive primary healthcare services for selected urban areas. The project comprises of two components. The first component, improve urban primary HNP services led by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) will support delivery of essential health services in selected urban areas. The second component, improve public health services led by the Local Government Division (LGD), Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives (MoLGRD and C) will support delivery of environmental health and preventive services in selected urban areas.
