[환경] The Global Water Security and Sanitation Partnership in East Asia and the Pacific

The Global Water Security & Sanitation Partnership (GWSP) is the largest global think tank working across the full spectrum of water-related challenges in developing and emerging markets. The GWSP, launched in 2017, focus on five priority themes that are critical for achieving the water-related Sustainable Development Goals: inclusion, sustainability, financing, institutions, and resilience. East Asia and the Pacific is a highly diverse region. It ranges from the world’s most populous country, China, to the small Pacific Island states. There is similar breadth in the challenges for the water sector. Rapid population growth, urbanization, and economic development are increasing demand for water as supply is becoming less reliable. This brief focuses on GWSP’s vision for the region is to create a resilient and secure water system that contributes to economic productivity and environmental sustainability.
