[교육] Inclusive education in the Republic of Singapore: a situated perspective

This article provides a perspective on the development toward inclusive education in Singapore that is situated within the context of its larger sociohistorical narrative and pragmatic nation-building priorities. Since Singapore has yet to officially adopt inclusive education as a formal educational agenda, even though the government has provided a vision of an inclusive society for its citizens, in particular, for those with disabilities, this article describes and discusses a series of developments in the fields of special needs education and disability that signal a move toward inclusive education in Singapore.
