The advance of Korean TV dramas and movies into Latin America started by TV dramas from the early 1990s has been raised to the status of Korean Wave (Hallyu) from 2002. The phenomenon of Korean Wave appeared principally with the success of "Star in My Heart" and "All about Eve". The fever for Korean dramas was sustained by “Stairway to Heaven”, “Winter Sonata” and subsequently expanded into to all Latin America and to Korean movies. Hallyu fans especially transcend frontiers and assume a great role in the expansion of Hallyu. Hallyu in Latin America has shown a good start despite a relatively late advance and has attained vigorous expansion. The advance of Hallyu into Latin America assumes very important significance in the sense that economic relation and cultural enhancement can be promoted on the base of mutual comprehension and cooperation. The purpose of this project is to suggest some proposals for sustaining development of Hallyu in this area on the basis of analytical examination of field work. The fever of Hallyu can be continued under the elevation of Korean image and brand of products, as well as cooperation between the embassy and Korean community. Latin America is the best zone for this purpose and we have to dedicate to forming mutual cooperation.
