[교육] Support to Families Through Remote Counseling and Social Media in Peru

페루 국외연구자료 연구보고서 - World Bank 발간일 : 2022-07-13 등록일 : 2022-07-17 원문링크

As the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to unfold, young children are especially vulnerable. A child’s first five years are a critical period as the brain matures faster and is the most malleable it will ever be. Young children are more likely to experience violence, abuse and neglect as families struggle to cope. At the same time, the unique nature of the pandemic places parents as first-line responders for children’s survival, care and learning. Simple everyday activities, such as talking, singing, reading and playing, cultivate a safe, secure and nurturing relationship between children and caregivers. These quality parent-child interactions promote children’s development and build the foundation for future success. At the World Bank, they are working across sectors to support government efforts to reach young children and their families and to ensure that early childhood is a priority within the response. Cuna Más, the Peruvian national early childhood development (ECD) program, aims to improve children’s cognitive, social, physical and emotional development.
