Aricanduva Corridor is an essential part of São Paulo's public transport network and presents itself as an opportunity for the structuring of transport services in the region and in the urban environment. The implementation of the corridor is accompanied by the buses’ operational control center renovation and modernization in the Municipality of São Paulo, through the installation of a real-time monitoring system for vehicles, and institutional fortification activities related to public transport planning and policies. Through the enhancement of the operations control center, in general, an improvement in the quality of the bus service is expected, increasing punctuality, regularity and the fulfillment factor of trips offered, not only in the area of direct influence of the BRT Aricanduva, but throughout the city of São Paulo. This work refers precisely to the logical conception of monitoring, control and management systems for the transport systems in the city of SP, to be used in the new COP. This report covers the analysis and benchmarking of latest and future technologies for operations control centers (OCCS) and for innovations needed for introducing big data and mobility as a service (MAAS) concepts in public transport planning and operations.
