The project aimed to improve metering accuracy, anti-tampering and fault-detection capability, billing efficiency, and the tariff collection rate. It was designed to build on the experience of the pilot automated and advanced metering projects in Tashkent and become part of the government's and Uzbekenergo's plan to expand the AEM to 4.5 million customers in phases.
This report validates the completion report's assessment of the project. IED overall assessment: Successful.
