Since the annexation of Crimea and the military intervention in the Donbas region in 2014, Russian aggression against Ukraine has garnered significant attention not only from the media but also within the academic community. In addition to political, sociological, and military analyses, the legitimization of the aggression from the Russian side and the responses to it within Ukrainian society have also become subjects of philological inquiry. This includes investigations of political and media discourses, as well as research on language attitudes and language use in Ukraine. The full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022 has significantly heightened academic interest in these areas.
