[경제] Vietnam - Improved Delivery of Legal Aid for the Poor and Vulnerable Project

The development objective of Improved Delivery of Legal Aid for the Poor and Vulnerable Project for Vietnam is to improve the delivery of legal aid and promote the legal empowerment of beneficiaries in selected provinces in the Northern Mountain Region. This project has four components. 1) The first component, Improved access to and use of legal aid services, aims to address the barriers of access to legal aid services faced by the poorest of the poor, ethnic minorities, and other vulnerable groups such as cultural constraints, gender, stigma, language, and lack of services in remote areas, and leverage traditional and local governance systems to address some of these constraints. 2) The second component, Improved capacity of legal aid practitioners, aims to focus on improving the capacity of legal aid providers, and closely related officials such as judges, prosecutors, and investigators to handle key legal matters related to issues of criminal, civil, family and administrative law, and to increase their soft skills related to interactions with specific groups and use of technology. 3) The third component, Pilots for sustainable delivery and monitoring and evaluation of legal aid services, aims to pilot activities aimed at building a more sustainable model for delivery of quality legal aid services, and it will be divided into two sub-components as follows: (i) Expanding networks and engaging social organizations for legal aid services; and (ii) Monitoring and evaluating the quality of legal aid services. 4) The fourth component, Project Management and Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Knowledge Dissemination , has the following three sub-components: (i) Project management and administration; (ii) Monitoring and evaluation; and (iii) Knowledge Dissemination activities.
