The ADB-supported Greater Mekong Subregion Flood and Drought Risk Management and Mitigation Project has played a crucial role in empowering women in the community to respond to floods and droughts.
Under the project, women play a key role in preparing and implementing the plan to protect 18 target villages from floods and droughts.
Dongkhuay Village has recognized women’s leadership by assigning seven women out of the 15 committee members of the Community-Based Disaster Risk Management.
