The development objective of the Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project for Philippines is to increase agricultural productivity, resiliency, and access to markets and services of organized farmer and fisherfolk groups in selected ancestral domains and value chains in Mindanao. The project comprises of five components. The first component, ancestral domain (AD) planning and social preparation is primarily assigned for the global crisis response framework (GCRF’s) pillar 4: strengthening policies, institutions, and investments for rebuilding better, by strengthening indigenous cultural community and indigenous peoples (ICC and IPs’) planning capacity and their institutions to better respond to future crises. The second component, resilient AD agri-fisheries infrastructure aims to increase the resilience of ADs by strengthening the commodity value chain infrastructure, including access to markets. The third component, AD agri-fisheries production and enterprise development will support registered indigenous people’s organizations (IPOs) identified in the AD agriculture implementation framework (ADAIF) to develop agri-fishery enterprises. The fourth component, Project management and support, monitoring, and evaluation will finance technical and operational support for project oversight and management, including staffing, office, logistical and administrative requirements. The fifth component, contingent emergency response is an ex-ante mechanism available to the government to gain rapid access to financing to respond to an eligible crisis or emergency.
