Following the general description of Middle East economy, oil industry and economic reform issues such as balance of payments, privatization, foreign investment, labor market reform, and human development are discussed. In the chapter of the current economic situation of Iraq and economic boom of UAE, Iraqi economic destruction and revival issues are mentioned and UAE's expatriate market, Dubai as a regional financial hub, and afforestation discussed. In the chapter of Iraq reconstruction, the economic benefit of dispatch of Korea military forces, the size of reconstruction market, issues about cancelation of foreign debt, and Korean participation problems are discussed. In the last chapter, the issues of economic cooperation between Korea and Middle East such as overseas construction of Korea, export and import issues, and the new strategy of better cooperation.
