Suez War begin with the attack on Egypt by England and France, headed by Israel, in October 1956, against the nationalization of the suez Canal Company in July. The War ended in March 1957 with the complete retreat of the invading states yielding international pressures from the United Nations including United States and the U.S.S.R. Suez War was an allied invasion to Egypt by the three countries, England, France, and Israel. However, it is considered to be an Arab-Israeli war in the mainstream perspective, since the War started with the preemptive strike by Israel. It is also called as the Second Middle East War. Suez War, on top of being an important part of the process of the continuing conflicts between the Arab and Israel, is a crucial incident in understanding the flows of the international politics surrounding the Middle East, especially in comprehension of the rolls and the functions of the Third World, benefitting from the conflicts between the East and the West in the Cold War Era. This paper aims to investigate the backgrounds, the beginning and the process of the Suez War through the end, and its results as a part of the international political history. The research will employ historical approach for the Diachronic Approach, and analytic approach for the Synchronic Approach.
