The European Union Regulation on Deforestation-Free products (EUDR) (Regulation (EU) 2023/1115) is set to reshape global commodity trade, particularly for non-EU countries. Introduced on June 29, 2023 and set to take effect on December 31, 2024, it requires that any operator or trader placing relevant commodities—such as wood, beef, coffee, cocoa, soy, palm oil, and rubber—or co-products on the EU market, or exporting from it, must ensure these products are deforestation-free after the 2020
